South Haven Country Club is a Public 18 hole golf course located in South Haven, Michigan.
South Haven Country Club first opened for play in 1920. The course was designed by Tom Bendelow.
There are some very nice rolling valleys as well as the long flat Scottish link type holes. The course has rolling fairways built over ravines. It is a nice, challenging course. This is truly a country course so you are not going to have the refined greens etc. Don't have overly high expectations and you'll have a great time!
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6735 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5550 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 6, a par-5 that plays to 530 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 15, a par-3 that plays to 150 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 11, a 452 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at South Haven Country Club is # 10, a 350 yard par-4.

Not worth paying the gas to dive to the course, the course is run down like no other due to lack of care from the current owners, they will say otherwise though. They do not take care of the course hardly at all, maybe "mow" fairways at the most. The Greens are 100% dead. They did not water the greens, because a "pump" went out, but yet they could have rented a water truck to do the job and to save the course. If you dont have greens, you dont have a Golf Course. Restrooms are NASTY, Clubhouse is old/dated, needs ALOT of heavy DEEP cleaning and painting. Clubhouse is also very DARK. The guy in the pro shop whos name is John if im not mistaken, is the only one at the course who knows what hes doing. Cartboys there shortly therafter (not like washing carts can be hard). The Owners Family that is at the course is clueless, one will lie to your face, while his what i assumed to be his Wife will gladly help you out. If you talk to the Family, they swear that the greens will come back with water, when in reality they need to be completely redone. Im not sure about you, but when i golf i dont want to put on Dead/Cracked greens. This course was under much better Management in the last year or two, the Former owner Jason actually took care of the course, and addressed major issues. He Airrated Greens, although the Current owners will say otherwise, but i know he did because i played on them. i do not recommend playing this course to anyone. Save your money and go play at Beeches or Hawkshead, or some of the other golf courses around the Greater South Haven Area.
